HGTV Canada

HGTV is a Canadian television channel that features home improvement and real estate programming. The network package has traditionally been a copy of its United States counterpart, but for the 2020 refresh we pitched our own designs and had full control of layout, colour, typography and animation.

The network features four different colour packages that relate to the different show categories; Interior Design, Renovation, Buying & Selling, and Outdoor. The colours are influenced by the keyart of the top shows and current interior design trends.

Once we had narrowed down our colour selection, my main responsibility was designing and animating the network elements. We then adapted the on-air look to formats that work on social media.
